From our humble beginnings as a small farm insurance company to an award-winning company that serves communities across the country, we are COUNTRY Financial. Click through the timeline to see some of our highlights over the past century.
How it started:
The Farmers Mutual Reinsurance Company chartered to provide fire insurance on farm buildings and contents.
1925
The agency force was established in all Illinois counties and had 400 full-time agents.
1949
The Country Companies’ main headquarters moved from 43 E. Ohio, Chicago, IL to 1705 N. Towanda Ave., Bloomington, IL.
1961
The Country Companies’ new corporate identity and expansion into the financial services market was announced.
2000
COUNTRY Insurance and Financial Services becomes COUNTRY Financial.
2008
Where we are now:
100 years of proudly providing a full suite of insurance products to families across 19 states.
